- Category: DC Systems
- Client: Umniah
- Location: Jordan
- Year Of Completed: 2017-2018
- Surface Area: All Sites
This project focused on the modernization of mission-critical power systems across Umniah’s MSC1, MSC2, and Hub sites, ensuring enhanced reliability, redundancy, and operational continuity for core network infrastructure.
MOSECO was responsible for the supply, installation, commissioning, and transition planning of the upgraded power systems. A carefully phased implementation strategy was executed to avoid any service interruption, safeguarding network availability throughout the modernization process.
Supply of complete power system solutions for MSC and Hub sites
High-capacity main battery banks
Telecom-grade rectifiers and power conversion systems
Installation of Main Distribution Boards (MDBs)
Integration of backup generators for extended power autonomy
Redundant power architecture to support critical network operations
Installation of all power system components at live network sites
System testing, validation, and commissioning
Verification of load performance and redundancy scenarios
Development of detailed installation and migration plans
Phased cutover to prevent network outages
Close coordination with Umniah’s operations and NOC teams
Modernized and resilient power infrastructure for core network sites
Zero service interruption during installation and migration
Improved power redundancy and energy efficiency
Extended operational life of critical telecom facilities
The successful execution of this project demonstrated MOSECO’s expertise in live-network power system modernization, where precision planning and execution are critical.
By delivering a robust, redundant, and service-safe power infrastructure, MOSECO enabled Umniah to strengthen the reliability of its core network while minimizing operational risk.
